February 28 Let's Go to the Mall!
Lily slept off and on until almost 9 this morning. It was nice, however fragmented. We hung out together this morning and had quiet time. I love breastfeeding her so much! I love the closeness to her and her contentedness. She is so very sweet and precious. I love that I can provide this for her. I can see that I will be sad when she no longer needs me.
This morning we had such fun times! We cuddled, then had tummy time. Since her bed is at an angle, it is perfect for tummy time. I propped up a little light aquarium and a couple of toys and let her play with those. She had her little arms under her chest and could pick up and hold her head up at about a 45 degree angle for several moments at a time. Her tiny head bobbed around, but she was really into looking at the lights and listening to the music. She really seems to love music. She loves her mobile too. After our tummy time we looked and interacted with her mobile. Such a cutie!!!
For lunch, we ventured out and met Nana at Mr. Gatti's. It was my first time taking her out by myself. We did great! We met Nana for pizza, and Lily ate when we were done. Then she puked. So much puke! I don't know how she's growing when she pukes so much!
After Gatti's we went to the mall. I wanted to walk her around...like the old lady mall walkers do. The weather looked like rain and I wanted to make sure that we got to take a walk today. We walked the interior perimeter of the mall and went to visit Mrs. Linda at Merle Norman. That was so nice! Mrs. Linda was super excited to see her! We visited for a bit, then Lily got VERY fussy, so we left. She was calmer in the car, thank goodness. I don't like when she cries in the car. I couldn't have done anything about it while driving and her crying makes me upset anyway.
When we got home, it was time for more cuddle time with mommy! I just LOVE cuddling with her! We curled up in the recliner and spent a little quality time together.
Nanny came over at 3:30 and Lily woke up to play! We had more playtime. We rattled her toys, showed her a mirror, exercised, and played. She is so cute and funny! She makes the absolute BEST faces!
Eric got home early tonight and came on our walk with us. Nanny, Mimi, Great-Nanny, Eric, Lily, and I all went walking. It was nice. The weather was cooperative and Lily slept the whole time! We saw Curtis when our walk was ending. I love that we all hang out around here!
Tonight we are having another quiet night at home. Eric and I took turns showering and eating dinner while the other watched Lily. Hopefully one day we will be able to eat at the same time! LOL!

February 26-27 A Busy Weekend!
SATURDAY
After a rather tiring Friday night, we had a busy morning Saturday. Lily threw up several times, making getting her ready a bit challenging. Luckily, Lindsay and Nana got to the house a little early and helped Tara and I with Lily. I finished cooking a big brunch for us all and then we said goodbye to Nana and Lily and took off to New Orleans. Although I was leaving Lily with Nana, it was still so hard to leave her. I wanted to leave, but did not want to leave her! I miss her so much when she is on another room, much less two hours away!
However, I was able to detach myself from her and get in the car. Eric, Tara, Lindsay, and I travelled to New Orleans to the Falgout residence for their Baby F Sex Party. SURPRISE!!! It's a girl!!!!! I SO thought that it was a boy! Wrong!! Everyone was so super excited!
All day long, Mom and Donna sent me pictures on my iPhone of Lily and her activities. This made being away from her SO much easier!! Lily hung out at Nana's house and visited with Honey...
They went grocery shopping (Lily's first time in the grocery store), had dinner with Jenna and Collin at Applebee's, and ended up back at home. . . exhausted!
I was so delighted to see her when I got home! I missed her so much! She must have had a very fulfilling day because she slept so hard SATURDAY NIGHT!
SUNDAY
After an extremely restful Sunday night, Lily continued to want to sleep all day on Sunday! She did not want to open her beautiful, big blue eyes and wake up!!! She dozed all day with only brief periods of wakefulness when she would eat. She was a tiny bit whiny at times with tummy troubles.
We ran a few errands in the morning after Tara brought us breakfast. We returned Nana's tiller, went by Lowe's, stopped by Kohl's for a couple of outfits that actually fit little Lily, and went to Mawmaw's. That was very nice and laid back. Curtis made me a delicious birthday dessert - brownies with candy inside and nuts and icing on top. Yum! Pappy shared Lily with a few others, and Lily did a lot more sleeping.
Now we are home and relaxing in the living room. Lily is in her rocking chair with her Daddy rocking it with his foot. A calm evening. Hopefully a premonition for the night ahead!

2.25 TGIF!
TGIF! Daddy will be home tomorrow! Hopefully the weekend will be as pretty as today was! Lily and I had a great day! She had a bit of a grumbly night, but recovered nicely. She still is having tummy troubles, but is doing a much better job handling it. I really pray that tummy troubles end and Lily gets stronger!
This morning, we played in her room for a little while. I put her on my chest for a little tummy time. She is getting so strong! She can lift her head so well now! After hanging out at home for a while, we went for an hour long walk. She slept the whole time! We (I) saw geese by our lakes.
This afternoon she slept on my chest for awhile. Such a sweet angel!
Nana came by for about an hour this afternoon. While she was here, I ran to CVS to pick up Lily's Prevacid refill. We cannot run out of that!!!!!
When I got home, mom had to run, but Katie pulled up. We hung out together and watched Lily sleep ;) She is the most precious sleeper! She grunts, groans, pulls faces... so funny!
This evening we went to Sammy's for dinner. It was a nice dinner and Lily, once again, was amazing! She is such a great baby! When she isn't having tummy troubles, she is the happiest baby! Here she is with Nanny at Sammys.
When we got home, Lily had a little cuddle with Mommy and a little tummy time on the couch. She was doing well until she gave up and just rolled over! LOL!
2.24 A Cleary Day!
Above: Lily crashed out after her big night out!
Mimi spent the night last night and took the night feedings. Wednesday nights are so rejuvenating for Mommy! I am so grateful for the chance to catch up on sleep and appreciate Renita SO much! I still have to get up in the middle of the night to pump, but get to sleep so much! Interestingly, when I get up in the morning, I miss her so much!!
Today I spent the day cleaning house. Sweeping, mopping, laundry, dishes, etc. Lily spent the day hanging out with her Mimi. She had a few bouts of tummy troubles, but was loved on the whole time. She is such a lovely little lady!
Pappy came over mid afternoon and took over! He loves his little granddaughter! It is so sweet to see them together. Whenever Lily spends time with him, she smells like him when he leaves. Its like kissing on a tiny man-scented baby! ;)
Lily hung out with Pappy while I went for a walk with Nanny, Mimi and Great nanny. It was a nice long walk and I can certainly tell that my stamina is returning. Thank goodness!
This evening, Collin and Jenna took us to dinner for an early birthday celebration for me. I will be 30 next week!!! Jenna may have to work on my bday, so we went early. Little Lily came to dinner and was SO GOOD!!!!! We went to Bravo's near the mall. We dressed Lily in her original coming home outfit (since it finally fits!) and ventured out. This was her third time to go to a restaurant, but the first time for dinner! She was amazing!!! She slept for most of the time, but had a few wakeful moments where she just looked around and took in all that she was seeing. She is so cool! Eric and I were worried that outings like dinner out would end when we had her. Its such fun to take her with us!!!

February 23 Wow! That's Impressive!!
Projectile Vomit. That stuff is impressive! Lily can shoot puke so far! I feel like we should set up targets and see if we can hone this into a talent or something! She sure can puke!! LOL!
Last night she SLEPT! It was incredible!! Thank you, rice cereal! Now we are getting it! :) She slept so soundly last night. Her old-lady grumbling while she slept was kept to a minimum, so I know she was getting rest. I just love going in to feed her though and watching her stretch and squeak! She is so completely hilarious and entertaining! Each time I see her I fall in love with her all over again. I honestly can not believe that Eric and I made this perfect little angel! I know that's how all loving parents feel and its overwhelming!
She slept until 8 this morning! That means mommy slept until 8 this morning!! YAY! I was a little confused when I heard her cry. It was daylight. Actually daylight! So many mornings she wants to be up before the sun. Like I said, thank you, Rice Cereal!
I have learned that she takes her best, and sometimes only substantial, nap in the morning. This morning I took advantage of that do to the house stuff. Laundry, dishes, meal in the crock pot, make the day's bottles, etc. I love feeling like a productive mommy. I feel better when I can be a mommy and get things done around here!
We took a very long walk/jog around noon. It was pretty warm out! By this time I'd changed Lily several times thanks to two diaper blowouts and puke fests, so she was in pants and long sleeves. Of course, she was relaxing so was comfortable, but I actually ran up a sweat. Sweet! I really would like to get a jogging stroller. I am determined to run my 5Ks again! Soon! That was my New Year's resolution. I think Lily would like that too. She was awake for the first half of the walk, but crashed out about mid-way through. She's so cute.
This afternoon was more puking. Dr. Grier didn't seem to be worried about the puking. Apparently that is a baby talent. I wonder, though, if I feed her two ounces, and an ocean of puke comes spewing out of her....is she going to be ok?
This afternoon when Tara arrived, we went for another walk. She really likes her stroller. She slept through this entire walk! She is having a sleepy kind of day.
This afternoon Katie was trying to feed her, but she did not walk to wake up! We made her naked, changed her, Tara played airplane with her (which made me a liiiiitle nervous), and still - not interested. We just left her nakie in her blanket until her bath was ready.
Bath time! I loooove my naked baby! I just want to kiss her all over! She is SO cute! Mimi and I bathed her and redressed her. She was such a cutie pie! We put her in her little pjs that her Nanny bought her. Such a sweet little cutie baby!
I'd made pulled pork sandwiches for dinner. Eric ate first, then Lily hung out with him while the we ate. They are so beautiful together. I love my little family. I am so grateful for a wonderful husband, a beautiful baby, and everyone who so willingly and happily pitches in to help out and love on her. I am blessed!
